On-Demand Learning are approved PD and EILA options
*Make sure to work with your school/department PD contact to ensure sessions are entered:

2: Greater Louisville Educational Coop (GLEC)
3: Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services
4: Kentucky Department of Education
Non-Flex PD Days: August 10, 2021 and January 21, 2022 (paid work days/12 PD credit hours earned)
Gold Days: November 12, 2021 and February 22, 2022 (paid work days / no PD credit can be earned)
Flex PD Days: March 7, 2022 and April 1, 2022 (paid work days / 12 PD credit hours earned)*
*Employees must earn 18 PD hours outside of work prior to March 7th to be off.
*Employees must earn 24 PD hours outside of work prior to April 1st to be off.

Session Proposal Due Dates
JCPS Policy 03.19 AP.1, session proposals are submitted prior to participating in learning events when credit for learning will be requested. In some instances, a pre-approval will be granted until final paperwork is submitted.
Certified Teacher Requirements
All certified teachers are required by KRS 158.070 to earn a minimum of 24 hours of professional development credit each year to maintain their certification. Refer to Quick Help Guide for Certified Requirements.
Instructional Classified Employee Requirements
All Instructional Classified staff are required to earn 24 hours of PD credit annually. Refer to Quick Help Guide for Classified Requirements.
EILA Administrator Requirements
Instructional leaders as defined by KRS 156.01 must annually complete 21 hours of EILA credit. Administrators with job descriptions that do not require an instructional administrative certificate must earn 42 EILA hours within 5 years to maintain certification with EPSB.
*Non-admins who wish to uphold EPSB certification requirements must obtain EILA outside of the work day.
Session Guidelines (during in-person events)
Participants are required to sign-in whether in-person or virtual (during the time of the session).
Participants may not sign up for PD not directly connected to their assignment.
Be prompt. Sessions will be closed 15 minutes after the designated starting time.
Children are not allowed at professional learning sessions.
Animals are not allowed at professional learning sessions unless documented service animals.
